Northenden House

Northenden House is a nursing home for people with learning disabilities and mental health illness.


Northenden House provides assessment and nursing care for service users are aged 18 to 60+ years with learning disabilities, mental health illness and challenging behaviours.  The service is designed for those people with dual diagnoses, spectrum disorders and complex health needs requiring a high level of specialist support.  We can accommodate people on a short term or long term basis.

 

Northenden House is a spacious purpose-built property, offering six bedrooms.  The accommodation is spread over three floors.  Its spacious design contributes towards maximising independence, and increasing emotional health and well-being.  The property has been carefully designed and has 2 shared lounges, a further lounge with kitchenette, a day room, dining room and a study.  All of which allow service users the choice to enjoy communal activities or have space to themselves.  There is also a mature garden to the rear of the property.

 

Northenden House is accessible for wheelchairs and limited mobility.  The property has lift access to all floors.  The house is also fitted with the hearing loop induction system.

 

All bedrooms have television aerial points, smoke detectors, secondary lighting units and en-suite shower facilities.  The first and second floor also have two assisted bathrooms with bath, shower, toilet and basin.

 

Northenden House is located in Sale.  Sale is a town in Trafford, Greater Manchester.  It is on the south bank of the River Mersey,  and is within a short distance from Stretford,  Altrincham, and Manchester.  Northenden House benefits from easy access to the M60 motorway and the Manchester Metrolink network.

 

Northenden and Sale both have a variety of shops, and cafes.  Sale Water Park provides leisure activities including bike hire, and adapted bikes.  The Tram stop allows for easy access to Manchester.
